Sea Turtle Camp

Campamento Tortuguero Mayto

​

Camping at project site, main activities include:

  • Workshop on Biology and Conservation of sea turtles

  • Night patrols 

  • Relocation of nests 

  • Hatchery monitoring 

  • Hatchling releases

 

Addtional activites inlude:

  • Open water excursion

  • Beach clean up

  • Hikes to local lighthouses 

  • Snorkeling in rocky reefs 

  • Campfire

Agua Fría
Ecological Reserve

​Camping at project site, main activities include:

  • Workshop on local flora and fauna

  • Local hikes and bird watching

  • Workshop on mammal tracking with camera traps

  • Set up camera traps

  • BBQ and bonfire

 

Addtional activites inlude:

  • Workshop on Permaculture at local project 'Futuras Raíces'

  • Local lunch

Botanical Gardens

Activities include:

  • Workshop on local flora: research and conservation

  • Visit to one of the largest live collections of orchids in Latin America

  • Workshop on macaw conservation: artifical nesting

  • Local hikes and bird-watching

Puerto Vallarta

Additional activities in the city include:

  • Workshop on Humpback whales (reproduction and conservation)

  • Whale-watching (courtships and mothers with their calves)

  • Visit to El Salado Estuary Natural Park

  • Workshop on the importance of mangroves and estuaries

  • Workshop on American crocodile conservation

Accommodation at hotel and dinners at local restaurants

1,300 USD per person
